RAMS uses the NYCDOE preferred core Math curriculum, enVisions Math. This program blends problem-based learning, embedded visual learning, and personalization to empower students and provide them with both foundational skills and conceptual understanding to tackle real-world problems.

Instruction in science is guided by the NYCDOE recommended core curriculum, Amplify Science. This phenomena-based curriculum interweaves hands-on investigations, literacy-rich activities, and interactive digital tools to explore various science content.

Incorporating history as a context for understanding our current world, RAMS has implemented the NYCDOE preferred curriculum, Passport to Social Studies, to explore events that have shaped our country. Passport uses rich content, major themes, and big ideas to learn history, geography, economics, civics, citizenship, and government.

Guided by the NY State Physical Education Standards, NY State Technology Standards, and NY State Standards for Languages Other than English, students are engaged in units of instruction that align to the key ideas identified within each of these leading documents.

WIN
Small-group ELA and Math instruction, guided by data and assessment. Each student can say, “I receive What I Need” while in his/her WIN group. WIN groups meet daily and change in make-up as students’ needs change.
